📋 Description
• The Railroad Commission of Texas seeks an experienced z/OS Mainframe IMS "Application Database" Administrator. • Work involves complex to advanced database administration. • Coordination of day-to-day administrative functions. • Support for mainframe applications and infrastructure. • Routine application database administration functions include daily operational support. • Monitor and maintain database performance. • Assist application programmers on database issues. • Support agency application development work by creating and maintaining procedures.
🎯 Requirements
• High School diploma or GED. • At least four (4) years of experience with z/OS mainframe IMS application database administration. • Years of experience can be concurrent. • Experience and education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university, with major coursework in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field (preferred). • Five (5) years of experience with Informatica Power Exchange software administration. • Ten (10) years of experience in basic z/OS utilities: TSO, SYSVIEW/SDSF and ISPF. • Five (5) years of experience with Batch and CICS Cobol, IMS programming and problem resolution. • Five (5) years of experience developing and troubleshooting complex JCL. • Two (2) years of experience in writing, analyzing, and debugging REXX programs in a z/OS environment. • At least five (5) years of experience using DBRC (Database Recovery Control) and its utilities. • At least two (2) years of experience with HAL (High Availability) IMS Database Administration. • Two (2) years of experience with IMS Catalog. • Working knowledge of batch SFTP and FTPS processing.
