And we're just getting started. • Join us in our mission to break down barriers to communication and free the flow of conversation for people everywhere. • TextNow is looking for a Senior VoIP Engineer to join our Core Experiences Team. • In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the backend services that power our high-traffic platform. • You’ll work with technologies like FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, AWS, Golang, gRPC, Kubernetes, Terraform, and a microservice architecture to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems. • Additionally, you'll be working with databases and event streaming platforms to handle high-volume data and real-time communication. • Handling tens of millions of calls and messages daily, you'll focus on keeping our platform fast, responsive, and highly available. • As a senior developer, you'll also have the opportunity to lead major initiatives, mentor junior engineers, and drive technical innovation within the team.

🎯 Requirements

• You have extensive experience working with Golang in a production environment. • You have a deep understanding of VOIP technologies and telecommunications, with experience integrating and scaling VOIP services. • You know and are proficient in VoIP troubleshooting tools, such as sngrep, wireshark, etc. • You have deep knowledge of real-time communications protocols, such as SIP, SDP, WebRTC, RTP, etc. • You have experience working with IaC and Configuration Management tools such as Terraform and Ansible • You thrive in a collaborative environment and have a passion for solving complex technical challenges. • You have experience working with distributed systems, microservices, and containerized environments. • You have excellent communication skills and enjoy mentoring junior engineers.
