Description

• Provide legal counsel and support for compliance with healthcare laws and regulations. • Address a range of legal matters including healthcare compliance, risk management, contracts, and patient rights. • Ensure legal sufficiency in contracts and provide legal guidance. • Identify potential legal risks and provide strategic recommendations. • Collaborate with risk management and compliance teams. • Address legal concerns related to patient grievances and confidentiality. • Assist in managing litigation or administrative actions. • Develop and review internal policies for legal compliance. • Provide training on legal issues including compliance and ethical practices. • Advise leadership on legal implications of decisions.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school • Admission to the state bar where practicing • Experience in healthcare law or related fields • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience practicing in healthcare law at a major law firm and/or healthcare organization. • Strong understanding of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations. • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines • Experience with regulatory agencies and compliance issues • Strong negotiation and contract drafting skills • Familiarity with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, ACA, and Medicare/Medicaid • Proficiency with legal research tools
