The role is responsible for taking designs from concept to mass production. A successful Mechanical Design Engineer collaborates with customers, internal teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or equivalent related work experience. • Experience in sheet metal design. • Experience in plastic design. • Demonstrated proficiency with CAD based software such as SolidWorks. • Desire to work in a customer-focused environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to identify root cause issues and provide recommendations. • Familiarity with mechanical and industrial best practices. • Experience in computer and IT industry is preferable. • Experience with designing products that have EMI/EMC emission requirements. • Proven ability to work within design revision control environment. • Proven ability to identify potential design issues and risks. • Self-motivated to learn new technologies. • Clear and direct communications skills including written, verbal and face-to-face. • Passion for seeing projects through to completion. • Ability to build rapport and maintain solid supplier relationships.
