Description

• Assist in finance and accounting tasks and ad-hoc projects. • Prepare and manage documentation for annual audits. • Collaborate with auditors and internal teams to complete yearly audits successfully. • Oversee time and expense tracking for federally funded contracts on a reimbursement basis. • Prepare monthly Excel reports for invoicing related to federal contracts. • Ensure all invoices and expenses are accurately entered into our financial systems. • Participate in identifying and assessing potential risks to the organization. • Assist in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies. • Support the execution of a risk-based internal audit plan. • Help prepare risk reports for management and the board of directors. • Support projects aimed at strengthening infrastructure between departments to maintain consistency and quality standards. • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures in procurement, contracting, and documentation with partners, vendors, and subscriptions. • Manage external financial interactions, including compliance, tax matters, and payment processing. • Organize and maintain important company documents in Google Drive and other record-keeping systems. • Meet project deliverables on time with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Relevant certifications such as Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are required. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required. • Strong organizational and multitasking skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to work effectively under tight timelines and adapt to shifting priorities. • Comfortable operating in ambiguous situations and taking initiative to resolve issues. • Basic understanding of risk management principles; experience in risk management or internal audit is a plus.
