Description
• Join a multi-year platform modernization effort as a Systems Engineer! • Automate deployments of services/applications into a hybrid cloud environment (CloudStack and AWS) • Work closely with other teams and contractors on toil reduction efforts i.e. automation of repetitive dev and ops tasks • Implement, advocate, and teach ITIL and SRE/DevOps best practices in a DevOps collaborative context
Requirements
• Configuration Management and Automation Ansible (including Ansible Tower/AWX), Salt, Puppet, or similar tools • Monitoring and Metrics Prometheus, Grafana • CI/CD and Cloud Platforms Public cloud: AWS Private cloud: CloudStack • Tools: GitLab • Scripting Languages OS-specific: Bash, PowerShell Multipurpose: Perl, Ruby, Python • Containerization and Orchestration Docker, Kubernetes • Version Control Git • Operating System and IT Service Management Proficiency with Linux • ITIL certification and understanding • Database Technologies SQL (e.g., MySQL, MSSQL) NoSQL databases • Effectively gathers requirements • Takes initiative to independently identify and solve problems • Lead and instruct teammates on adoption of DevOps technologies
