Description

• Oversee the preparation of accurate, GAAP-compliant financial statements and management reports • Ensure timely tax compliance and manage the annual audit process • Implement and optimize accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness • Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to foster high performance and growth • Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and collaborate with departments to align financial goals and streamline operations • Present actionable financial insights to senior management to support profitability and strategic decision-making

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a management role, preferably with Canadian/US accounting expertise • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a CPA certification • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards • Successfully implemented process improvements, internal controls, and managed month-end close and financial statement preparation • Love to learn and grow - challenge yourself to learn, fail, and constantly improve
