Description

• Porch Group is a leading vertical software and insurance platform. • Work as a Java Desktop Developer to solve complex problems. • Develop and maintain Java-based desktop applications using Swing and JavaFX. • Design and implement web interfaces using Java-based technologies. • Develop server-side logic and business processes using Java, including MySQL databases. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to desktop and web application functionality and performance. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

• Strong 5+ years of experience in Java desktop development with a focus on Swing and JavaFX. • Proficiency in core Java programming and object-oriented design principles. • Experience in developing Java-based web interfaces and backend services. • Hands-on experience with third-party API integration. • Experience interacting with MySQL or other relational databases in a Java environment. • Proven track record of generating and managing PDF and HTML5 reports within applications. • Experience developing on both Mac and Windows platforms, with an understanding of handling varying screen resolutions. • Expertise in desktop and web UI design and usability principles. • Proven experience working with US based business teams. • Excellent written and communication skills in English language. • Ability to work within core US business hours / time zone expectations - Eastern Standard Time (EST) overlap.
