Description

• As a Senior Backend Engineer at Flowie, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems with a focus on banking, financing, ledger systems, payment rails, and card systems. • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices. • Lead the architectural design of complex backend systems. • Develop and maintain APIs for integrating with various financial systems and third-party services. • Optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and efficiency. • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices. • Work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive solutions. • Resolve complex technical issues and provide support for critical production incidents. • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer, with a proven track record in building scalable and high-performance systems. • Proficiency in any major backend programming language, with a willingness to learn Scala. • Experience with JVM or functional programming languages is a plus. • Proficiency in one or multiple product topic : banking, financing, ledger, payment rails, card... • Deep understanding of API design, macroservices architecture, and server-side technologies. • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus.
