📋 Description
• Responsible for installation, maintenance and support of application infrastructure and Wintel servers • Provides advanced support for Windows based operating systems • Responsible for networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, WINS Subnets • Applies specialized knowledge in SAN/storage technologies • Monitors all data center equipment for errors and functionality • Initiates problem-solving procedures according to predetermined instructions • Identifies and assists in the resolution of issues reported by customers • Collaborates with colleagues to resolve cross-departmental problems • Recommends changes to servers and operating systems to improve performance • Participates in on-call support rotation as specified by management • Provides guidance to others on highly technical or moderately complex problems
🎯 Requirements
• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of training and experience • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Technical certifications or MCSE preferred • Five (5) or more years of experience in a high availability or large multi-location environment • Extensive knowledge with three (3) or more years of server virtualization and automation required • Experience supporting HP/Compaq/Dell servers • Knowledge of Enterprise Antivirus • Knowledge of server management and imaging software • Extensive experience in technical writing and records management • Effective oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal skills • Ability to multi-task • Ability to remain calm, helpful, and productive in all situations
