Then we have a seat for you on our team! • You can work in a forward-thinking and growth-oriented environment at this company, where you can create rich user interfaces for connected televisions and media devices. • Consulting services assist agencies and content providers in navigating the multitude of platforms and devices in this swiftly evolving space. • Be a critical member of a team of engineers responsible for building our client app experiences in BrightScript, using the Roku SceneGraph SDK. • Contribute to developing new application features from on-boarding to browsing UI/UX experiences, analytics, video playback UI/UX, and much more. • Have the opportunity to contribute to the development of tools and systems outside of the Roku apps, such as JavaScript- & React-based web tools, gulp build scripts, AWS configurations, and Node.js services. • Work with Roku to vet new hardware, firmware, and certification requirements from a client application perspective. • Collaborate closely with our client SDK engineering, design engineering, services engineering teams, and product owners to help understand and communicate requirements and device limitations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with significant experience in Roku development. • You have development experience using languages like JavaScript, Brightscript, Objective - C, Swift, TypeScript, etc. • Proficiency in BrightScript, SceneGraph, and other Roku development tools. • Expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, while proactively identifying potential risks. • Proven experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to the overall skill development of the team. • Strong ability to work with remote teams and manage dependencies across multiple stakeholders. • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
