• Truss tackles tough technical problems for clients in the private sector and government. • We use modern development practices to build software, streamline infrastructure, and train others through exposure to our teams. • We have earned a reputation of pragmatism, autonomy, expertise, and trust. • All Trussels enjoy full benefits, generous PTO, a co-working budget, an employee effectiveness budget, and company-wide transparency around salaries and career leveling. • We have been a remote-first organization since our inception and are passionate about work-life balance, building diverse teams, and practicing radical candor. • Truss is seeking a skilled, hands-on, software engineer to join our team. • This person will need to get up to speed on complex code and tax logic quickly and mostly independently. • The ideal candidate should be comfortable working within a fast pace environment, on a project that expects constant delivery. • Engineers at Truss work closely with technical product managers, designers, delivery managers, and engineers to define tickets in order to accomplish product roadmap goals. • L4 candidates will be expected to have experience leading and actively mentoring junior engineers while supporting healthy team dynamics that empower technical teams to set and advocate for best practices and standards. • This is a fully remote position. • Candidates with active Public Trust clearance will be prioritized.

🎯 Requirements

• 4-6 years React and Typescript • Comfort with the concept and application of boolean algebra and implementations like De Morgan's law as it pertains to writing Tax logic • Ability to work transparently and work with team/stakeholders/internal dependents to solve impediments • Agile software development practices • An adaptive, empathetic, collaborative and positive mindset • Comfortable with a collaborative approach to cross-training with other engineers via design discussions and code reviews • Able to set and advocate for best practices and standards • Ability to express complex ideas clearly and succinctly, and create corresponding documentation as needed • Experience working in a fully remote environment and familiarity with communication tools such as Slack, Zoom, Gsuite, and MSTeams
