Description

• Develop strategy and provide advice on litigation and legal strategies • Provide legal counsel on legal policy and strategy priorities • Lead outside counsel and manage litigation budgets • Build and maintain relationships with key Lilly constituencies • Engage with key external collaborators to align legal policy interests • Review and analyze litigation and policy developments affecting the pharmaceutical industry

Requirements

• J.D. degree with an active license to practice law in the United States • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney • Significant experience (8+ years) managing complex litigation at a global company or top law firm • Appellate experience, including a clerkship on a federal court of appeals • Experience litigating class actions or matters involving state and federal healthcare programs • Demonstrated leadership and effectiveness in working with senior leadership • Good judgment and meticulous attention to detail • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Demonstrated ability to appropriately handle highly confidential information • Demonstrated dedication to expand knowledge and adapt to a changing environment
