📋 Description

• The Uniswap Foundation is seeking a Legal Associate to assist the Uniswap Foundation’s General Counsel in providing critical legal guidance across Foundation initiatives, including our grants program, governance processes, and marketing efforts. • Handle portfolio of grants, contracts, marketing materials and other collateral documents involving the Uniswap Foundation in collaboration with outside counsel • Anticipate and address legal, business, and regulatory challenges within the DeFi space, recommending solutions to mitigate risks and pursue opportunities that align with Uniswap Foundation's mission • Review external communications to ensure alignment with Foundation objectives and regulatory compliance • Provide risk-based legal, regulatory, and strategic advice to the Uniswap Foundation’s General Counsel and communicate to executives, grantees, marketing teams, and more • Review and structure grant agreements for our grant programs • Monitor communications and deliverables from grantees to ensure compliance with the UF’s guidelines, expectations and regulatory requirements • Assist the General Counsel in executing the Uniswap Foundation's broad legal and policy strategy

🎯 Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school; member of a U.S. state bar in good standing • 2–5 years of legal practice experience with a strong focus on corporate law, contract law, marketing guidelines, IP law, Securities and Commodities law, and a base understanding of broad financial regulation requirements. • Understanding of 501(c)4 organization structure and requisite reporting and record-keeping associated therewith • Familiarity with U.S. financial regulatory frameworks as they apply to decentralized exchanges and DeFi protocols • Demonstrated experience advising on web3 and crypto matters, particularly within the DeFi ecosystem • Understanding of Uniswap protocol mechanics and governance structure • Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to advancing decentralized finance • Innate curiosity
