📋 Description
• The IBM DB2 Specialist is responsible for the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of IBM DB2 databases. • This role ensures the high availability, security, and performance of DB2 database environments. • The specialist will work closely with application developers, system administrators, and other IT personnel to support database operations and provide troubleshooting expertise.
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience administering IBM DB2 databases in a large-scale environment. • Proven experience with DB2 installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting. • Proficiency in IBM DB2 database administration (preferably versions 10.5, 11.1, or later). • Strong knowledge of SQL and database performance tuning techniques. • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Perl, Python) for automation. • Familiarity with data backup, recovery, security, and integrity. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and documentation skills. • IBM Certified Database Administrator - DB2 (version 10.5 or later) is a plus.
