• USA Firmware is seeking an experienced Senior Embedded Linux Engineer to join our team as a 1099 contractor for a short-term engagement. • This role will focus on auditing, validating, and optimizing the OS architecture in an embedded environment. • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Embedded Linux, specifically with TI ARM processors and Raspberry Pi CM4. • The primary focus is on validating our current implementation and assisting with any remaining issues. • Key Responsibilities include conducting a comprehensive audit, reviewing and validating implementations, troubleshooting, and developing strategies to improve OS performance. • Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless integration and provide expert recommendations for optimizing resources. • Prepare detailed documentation on system architecture and optimizations.
• Proven experience in Embedded Linux development, with a focus on TI ARM processors and Raspberry Pi CM4. • Expertise in Armbian configuration and customization for embedded systems. • In-depth knowledge of Linux kernel internals, bootloaders, and device drivers. • Strong experience in system architecture auditing, including performance analysis and security evaluations. • Familiarity with cross-compilation, toolchains, and build systems. • Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor with a high level of accountability and professionalism. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with global clients and cross-functional teams. • Experience working in new product development environments. • Strong understanding of real-time processing in embedded systems. • Previous experience with global clients or large-scale embedded Linux projects.
