Description

• Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to the engineering team. • Develop and execute the engineering roadmap to align with corporate strategy and objectives as part of the executive team as part of the executive team. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, aligning engineering efforts with business goals. • Collaborate with product management and cross-functional teams to define requirements and roadmap. • Lead end-to-end product implementation execution, ensuring on-time and high-quality delivery. • Lead the continued design and development of our scalable, compliant, and secure platform. • Build and mentor a diverse, engaged, and high-performing engineering team. • Translate company strategy into clear department goals and performance expectations. • Engage in career development conversations to ensure proper growth and development of all team members. • Drive architectural decisions for scalability, reliability, and security in partnership with your engineering leadership team. • Implement best practices for software development, delivery, and quality assurance. • Balance tradeoffs between velocity and quality to ensure the right balance for a startup moving into a scaleup.

Requirements

• 8+ years of engineering leadership in delivering a Saas solution. • Strong technical background in software development, ideally leading teams in Ruby and Go • Proven success scaling codebases and teams from startup to scaleup Proven success managing highly scalable infrastructure handling critical business data or transactions. • Experience managing a distributed, remote team • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with team members, peers, and management.
