📋 Description

• This role can be based remotely in the US • Seeking a strategic, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Property Tax Manager • Manage the company’s property tax lifecycle across the U.S. and Canada • Ensure compliance, minimizing tax liability, and supporting business initiatives through proactive tax planning and process improvement • Oversee all aspects of property tax including compliance, audits, appeals, valuations, accruals, forecasting, and collaboration with internal stakeholders and third-party advisors • Thrive in a dynamic environment, working cross-functionally to drive accurate and timely reporting, mitigate risk, and identify opportunities for savings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field; CPA, MST or CMI preferred • 3 or more years of Big 4 or Regional public accounting experience in relevant position • 5+ years of relevant experience in property tax, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity • Strong knowledge of U.S. and Canadian property tax regulations and valuation methodologies • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office software tools • Experience managing complex portfolios in a fast-paced, multi-state and/or multinational environment • Proven track record of successful audit defense and appeal negotiation • Experience with tax software (e.g., OneSource, PTMS, or similar) • Familiarity with Yardi accounting software a plus • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines with strong attention to detail • Basic knowledge of accounting such as debits and credits and account reconciliation
