📋 Description

• LOCATION: Remote – must live in or near Forsyth County, North Carolina. • The Community Educator focuses on engaging, collaborating, and supporting the communities Vaya serves through facilitation of educational opportunities and coordinated outreach for those trainings for community stakeholders. • The Community Educator also provides trainings required by any of Vaya Health’s contracts with NC Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS). • The individual in this role is knowledgeable in NC mental health, developmental disabilities and substance use services systems as well as evidence-based practices and programs for the delivery of those services. • The Community Educator is responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating community education for key community stakeholders.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a Human Services field (Psychology, Social Work, etc.) or Physical Health field (Public Health or Nursing). • Three years’ proven experience delivering learning and development and/or education to adult learners, preferably in a community-based environment. • Preferred experience: Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. • Preferred licensure/certification: Training Certificate or Virtual Training and Facilitation Certificate preferred. • Licensure or certification in a related field is preferred.
