Description

• Envision, develop, and test prototypes to demonstrate feasibility and potential impact to new or existing lines of business • Transition prototypes from early-stage design into long-term supportable state in partnership and collaboration with peers across organizational boundaries • Research emerging or newly viable technologies to identify innovation opportunities • Promote continuous learning, experimentation, and collaboration throughout CTO organization and across organizational boundaries at Vectra AI • Provide technical leadership on core design decisions and trade-offs related to data architecture across prototyped systems • Architect scalable and robust systems that integrate with existing cybersecurity tooling, technologies, and end-user workflows • Leverage data architecture and engineering expertise to collaborate with cross-functional teams chartered to identify and enable opportunities for research acceleration through platform capabilities • Capacity to flex into adjacent technical domains to maintain research velocity

Requirements

• Strong passion for improving developer productivity and system performance • Minimum of 8+ years of experience with modern applications and distributed systems • Proven track record of leading and delivering complex projects from inception to deployment • Strong fundamentals and hands-on experience with designing and implementing large scale data processing systems • Experience designing and interacting with complex data models • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, JavaScript, or Rust) used in production • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment • Experience working in R&D organization • Familiarity with machine learning and data processing frameworks
