Description

• Manage the installation, configuration, and upgrading of databases. • Ensure databases are running efficiently and effectively. • Monitor database performance and implement optimization techniques to improve performance. • Apply patches, updates, and upgrades to databases in a timely manner. • Conduct routine maintenance to ensure the stability and reliability of database systems. • Ensure disaster recovery plans are tested and effective. • Enforce database security policies and procedures. • Provide advanced technical support for complex database issues. • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours and weekend support. • Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations, changes, and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent IT experience. • 3-5+ years of experience in Oracle or MS SQL Server database administration or a related role. • Advanced knowledge of Oracle 19g database administration. • Experience in SQL Server, Postgres, and MongoDB database administration. • Experience with Oracle Engineered Systems required. • Experience with Oracle Dataguard, RAC, and Golden Gate. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
