•Responsible for US payroll and benefits processing and reporting. •Serves as primary payroll back up for Canada. •Supports all aspects of the Americas payroll function for the organization in compliance with all Canadian and US laws and regulations pertaining to taxes, withholding and employee compensation and in alignment with company policies. •Data entry: Enter payroll data into HRIS system, including new hires, employee record changes, terminations, and track leaves of absence. •Maintain records: Keep employee and payroll records up to date in system, including payroll deductions and input wage garnishments as applicable. •Track time: Be the timekeeper, review and resolve issues with time sheets, track PTO accruals. •Process payroll: Process biweekly payrolls, which may include bonuses and commissions. •Reporting: Generate reports for management as needed. •Auditing: Provides support for audits. •Perform clerical tasks: Complete other clerical tasks as needed.
•Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university or equivalent working experience in lieu of a degree •Minimum of 1 year of related experience with payroll administration •Working knowledge of Wage and Hour requirements and Taxation requirements •Strong functional and technical skills •Highly proficient with computers and software tools including UKG Pro and Kronos (Workforce Ready) •Knowledge of mathematical calculations, excellent time management and organizational skills, and strong written and oral communication skills •Proven track record of providing excellent customer service internally and externally. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines •Maintain confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards
