Description

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience. • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a security engineering role with focus on defensive security. • Technical Skills: • Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and anti-malware solutions. • Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls. • Strong understanding of network security principles, encryption methods, and authentication protocols. • Familiarity with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container security. • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, or GIAC are preferred but not required. • Preferred Skills: Knowledge of offensive security techniques, including hacking and penetration testing, is a plus but not mandatory. • Soft Skills: • Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex security issues and develop effective solutions. • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences. • Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to identifying and mitigating potential security risks.
