• Uses current best practice and policy guidance to implement patient identification and matching practices. • Identifies points in patient identification and data collection processes contributing to accuracy. • Applies best practices for collection and management of patient demographic data for enhanced matching. • Uses and understands algorithms within the master patient index identifying potential duplicates. • Analyzes key demographic data points and collection issues, including misidentification trends. • Establishes practices ensuring data quality by minimizing errors and opportunities for fraud. • Understands interoperability in healthcare systems to ensure patient safety. • Applies expert knowledge of state regulations ensuring compliance. • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and safeguards University assets.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience accurately and with attention to detail • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines • Ability to process and manage confidential information with discretion • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment • Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered
