Description

• This is a remote position, but the candidate must reside within 30 miles of a specified location • Design, develop, and optimize microservices to handle high throughput and low-latency requirements • Implement event-driven architectures • Collaborate with product teams and engineers to design and implement scalable features • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code • Ensure smooth integration with external systems and services • Take ownership of services through the entire lifecycle • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java development • Strong experience in designing and building high-performance microservices using Spring Boot or a similar framework • Expertise in event-driven architectures with technologies like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ for distributed messaging and streaming • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes) • Proficient in RESTful API design and development • Quality driven mindset employing test driven development and automation testing frameworks • Solid understanding of database technologies, both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) • Knowledge of asynchronous processing patterns • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools • Strong problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills
