Description

• Research and document complex technical accounting issues under US GAAP for our consolidated financial statements and other GAAPs for our statutory filings. • Provide support for complex transactions and new business initiatives. • Monitor and support the implementation of new accounting pronouncements. • Support the modernization of existing global accounting policies and procedures. • Support annual goodwill testing. • Prepare and present training to employees on certain complex technical accounting areas. • Work with internal and external auditors to answer all necessary questions in connection with their audits. • Support due diligence processes and the purchase price allocation. • Support the Statutory team in discussions with our auditors related to complex transactions and its impact to the financial statements of our subsidiaries.

Requirements

• CPA required. • Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the resolution of technical accounting matters of large publicly traded companies and/or National Office’s SEC Services Group at one of the "Big 4". • Strong technical knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS accounting. • Proven knowledge of on key accounting standards including, but not limited to, business combinations, fair value measures, revenue recognition, leases, consolidation, impairment assessments, transfer of financial assets and derivatives. • Strong leadership skills to assist in the alignment of a global cross functional team. • Experience with SOX 404 and internal control over financial reporting. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills. • Very organized and able to think and build a long-term strategy.
