📋 Description

• Responsible for maintaining global network operations and technology through modern software engineering practices. • Focuses on efficient development, automation, and continuous operation of network infrastructure, including cloud environments. • Leverages software-driven methodologies such as network automation, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). • Executes initiatives to simplify, standardize and optimize network operations methods and tools to reduce cycle times and increase security, availability, service agility, user experience, and alignment of World Kinect Corporation networks. • Leads large-scale projects and architects advanced network software solutions. • Develops cutting-edge APIs using TypeScript, GraphQL, and other modern tools. • Provides technical leadership and defines development standards and best practices. • Mentors and coaches team members, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation. • Collaborates with senior management and stakeholders to align network solutions with business objectives. • Troubleshoots and resolves critical issues related to network operations and infrastructure. • Identifies emerging technologies to improve and future-proof network solutions. • Develops and enforces network policies to ensure compliance with best practices. • Develops and maintains IaC scripts using tools like Terraform to automate infrastructure management. • Utilizes network tools to monitor and troubleshoot network performance. • Conducts regular network audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in network-focused software engineering • Expertise in TypeScript, GraphQL, APIs, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Deep understanding of network security, DevOps, and containerization • Proven ability to lead teams and influence decision-making at the executive level • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on innovation and strategic planning • Strong knowledge of DNS and DHCP is essential for network functionality. • Proficiency in tools like Wireshark and NetFlow helps in maintaining network health. • Ability to configure routers, switches, and firewalls is fundamental. • Critical problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary for diagnosing and resolving network issues. • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash is required for automation tasks. • Ability to manage large-scale network configurations efficiently using Configuration as Code (CaC) practices. • Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems is essential for protecting network integrity. • Knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and MPLS is necessary for efficient data routing. • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is vital for modern network environments.
