Description

• Lead the development and deployment of state-level energy programs, with a focus on initiatives funded by the IRA and BIL, including various rebate programs. • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with State Energy Offices, Public Utilities, and Power Cooperative to ensure successful program development and implementation. • Conduct in-depth policy analysis to support the design and optimization of energy programs, ensuring alignment with federal and state goals. • Develop and execute strategic business plans to grow Witt O’Brien’s presence in the power and energy sector. • Serve as the primary point of contact for state clients, offering expert guidance on program design, funding opportunities, and regulatory compliance. • Conduct market assessments to identify emerging trends and opportunities in the energy sector. • Identify and pursue new business opportunities related to the energy sector. Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and other client-facing documents. • Build, mentor and lead a team of professionals working on energy initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Public Policy, Environmental Science, Energy Management, or a related discipline. • Minimum 10 years of experience in the energy sector, with a focus on working with State Energy Offices on program development, policy analysis, and strategic planning. • Deep understanding of the Inflation Reduction Act, Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, and related federal energy programs. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex regulatory information to diverse audiences. • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in policy analysis and program evaluation within the energy sector. • Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver high-quality services that meet or exceed client expectations.
