Description
• Designing, developing, and testing databases to support Data Engineering and Software Development projects • Mentoring junior engineers and establishing team standards and best practices • Facilitating collaboration between application developers and internal WOW customers • Analyzing, summarizing, and reviewing data; report findings and provide recommendations • Creating and supporting stored procedures and APIs that adhere to standard security protocols • Planning and overseeing the installation and testing of system improvements • Maintaining security protocols to protect data • Providing technical support to developers and testers • Reviewing team members' work, offering recommendations on design, coding, and testing approaches • Managing multiple projects simultaneously across distributed teams
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent certification or experience • 4+ years of SQL Server development and data ETL experience • 4+ years of database development and stored procedure experience, with expertise in SQL Server or Postgres • Strong understanding of database engines (SQL Server or Postgres) • Basic SQL Server administration experience • Experience with ETL tools like SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SnapLogic, or Informatica • Experience handling large data sets • Familiarity with AWS database offerings (PostgreSQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, and DynamoDB) is a plus • Experience with GraphQL is a plus • Knowledge of cable billing systems is highly preferred • Strong interpersonal skills
