• Xero is a beautiful, easy-to-use platform that helps small businesses and their accounting and bookkeeping advisors grow and thrive. • At Xero, our purpose is to make life better for people in small business, their advisors, and communities around the world. • This purpose sits at the centre of everything we do. • We support our people to do the best work of their lives so that they can help small businesses succeed through better tools, information and connections. • Because when they succeed they make a difference, and when millions of small businesses are making a difference, the world is a more beautiful place. • As a Product Manager you will be responsible for driving customer and business value through ownership of new and existing products. • You will manage products end-to-end, from early-stage research and ideation, through to implementation and improvement over time. • Your impact will be measured by key commercial and customer success metrics. • You will be comfortable working autonomously where appropriate, with the support of your product leadership team. • You’ll bring your knowledge of the UK tax and statutory reporting landscape to ensure we are ahead of the game with regulatory changes and emerging needs of accountants. • You will focus on helping those who develop the software to understand the requirements by triaging and developing these requirements.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience with agile processes in a software development environment, to define user stories and acceptance criteria and manage the backlog of work (2+ years product management experience is a minimum requirement) • A background in tax and accounting and/or tax/accounting knowledge, with understanding of UK statutory reporting and tax legislation • Any of the following qualifications (or equivalent if not listed), would be beneficial but not compulsory: ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), ACA (Association of the institute of Chartered Accountants), AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians), CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) or ATT (Association of Taxation Technicians) and have knowledge of UK tax system • Demonstrated experience collaborating with diverse stakeholder groups to realise customer / commercial outcomes • Experience defining product roadmaps and long term planning • Able to disseminate information into clear and concise requirements to support product development • Understanding of the SaaS / Fintech / Accounting industry and / or adjacent sectors relevant to Xero
