Description

• Keep abreast of current theoretical publications in sketching, streaming and sublinear algorithms • Translate published scientific algorithms and pseudo-code into workable prototype code • Characterize and understand the error & performance properties of new algorithms • Develop new algorithms or modify existing ones for business insights • Publish research and development results in scientific and engineering conferences • Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and analysts to understand product goals

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Physics, Math, or a related major • Stochastic modeling, linear algebra, discrete math and combinatorics background preferred • Programming experience using Python, Java or C/C++ • Experience publishing papers in scientific journals as author or co-author • Strong data mindset for analyzing data to identify opportunities • Excellent communication skills and ability to tell insightful stories with data • Experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery is a plus
