• The primary objective of this position is to ensure a consistent, high quality analysis deliverable. • This position will be a key Zeitview representative for customer facing technical conversations about wind turbine analysis and will be responsible for collaborating closely with the manager of the analyst team to set priorities and provide feedback to the team to improve wind turbine blade analysis. • This role will have up to 25% travel. • Act as a subject matter expert and process engineer for the development of a best-in-class blade analysis program through implementation of effective training and evaluation, standard operating procedures for quality review and analysis, and coaching to ensure a consistent deliverable that meets or exceeds customer expectations. • Utilize technical information, such as design information, operating experience, and fundamental engineering principles to support the analysts to consistently identify blade anomalies across each blade model to customer specifications. • Support the Wind Analyst Manager to provide consistent analysis accuracy, and continuously improve anomaly detection through customer feedback and analyst training. • Collaborate with Operations, Product, and the Customer to evaluate analysis accuracy, anomaly detection, and critical damage reporting. • Support Sales and Customer Success teams by providing subject matter expertise during new opportunities and facilitating deployment of new product offerings. • Collaborate with the team on goal setting, the development & management of departmental objectives and key results, and support wind turbine blade inspection services to meet KPI targets through implementation of continual improvement strategies. • Work with the global operations team to address regional specific constraints regarding data quality control. • Utilize proven RCA methodologies and tools to identify basic or causal factors in deviations in quality or variances in performance to eliminate repeated occurrences, optimize performance, and prepare reports and/or presentations to summarize findings for internal and external stakeholders, performing follow-up assessments to measure effectiveness. • Follow-up actions, based on identified problems, trends, and root cause determinations are timely and effective. • Organizational skills and adaptability, enabling quick responses to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities accordingly. • Drive the continual improvement of the AI blade analysis model through a collaboration with the AI/ML team.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, Mechanical or Composite Engineering, or equivalent • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant wind industry related experience required • Knowledge in at least one of the following areas of wind turbine blade design, manufacturing, and repairs is preferred, with the ability to categorize damage, evaluate the criticality of each failure mode, and assess its risk of catastrophic failure • Experience being a technical liaison to individuals within and outside the organization with the responsibility to act independently regarding technical matters pertaining to blades and composite materials • A high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive operational programs and activities • Experience managing programs of complex diversity and scope which are of critical importance to overall company objectives • A subject matter expert with proven background in blade damage assessment and experience across multiple OEMs (i.e.: Vestas, Enercon, Siemens, Gamesa, GE, Nordex, Acciona, Goldwind, etc.) and repair types, preferred • Thorough understanding of the different blade designs, Leading Edge Protection (LEP), lightning protection systems, and other blade enhancement technologies • The expertise of industry standards and recommended practices (IEC, DNV/GL, ASME, ASTM, ACMA, etc.), preferred • Knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, or other quality related management techniques • A high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding extensive quality programs and activities with the ability to work both independently and in team settings • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate work schedules across North and South American and European time zones • Excellent planning, scheduling, and project management skills with the ability to work both independently and in team settings • Strong attention to detail • Strong computer skills (Office suite, Google, Slack) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Able to travel for short-term engagements • Able to sit, stand for long periods of time
