Description
• Aid in the development of processing, analysis, and visualization pipelines for large-scale ‘omics studies. • Extend existing Python and R scripts for data processing and visualization. • Develop programmatically generated reports including statistical analyses, summaries, and data visualization plots. • Develop consistent conventions of execution, running, reporting, testing, and documentation. • Work with subject area experts to implement new pipelines.
Requirements
• Currently enrolled in a PhD program in bioinformatics, computational biology or a related field. • Expertise in Python, Bash, Git, and Linux development environments. • Demonstrated ability to develop streamlined and cohesive pipelines. • Familiarity with bioinformatic workflows for ‘omics data analysis. • Experience with HPC environments and Linux shell scripting.
