• As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for supporting the development of revenue growth, customer relationships and market understanding with some of the Europe’s leading construction, aerospace, automotive, energy and engineering companies. • Managing the Sales function for one of 3M’s fastest growing businesses. • Identification of new business opportunities for our range of Glass Bubbles and Nextel Ceramic Fibers. • Strong Key Account management and relationship development within existing account base in order to maximize future growth potential. • Identification and monitoring of market trends, opportunities and risks within the target market sectors. • Maintaining highest level of business compliance and quality standards.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Glass Microspheres, Ceramic Fibres or similar technologies. • Deep knowledge and understanding of at least two of our key target markets: Construction, Automotive, Aerospace, Energy. • Strong background of specification-driven selling within a highly technical, materials science business. • Significant experience within a similar high-tech, Business Development role. • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and influencing skills, with the ability to form strong relationships with internal and external customers/stakeholders. • Good knowledge of CRM systems. Salesforce.com desirable. • Technical/Engineering Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or similar materials science qualification.
