Description

• ASG is seeking a Technical Architect in support of the Department of Education FSA office. • Participate in Design Review meetings, take notes and ask questions for further clarification. • Review design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements. • Ensure systems are compatible and compliant with the standards for open systems architectures. • Evaluate systematically problems of workflows, organization, and planning and develop appropriate corrective action. • Review Solution Design Documents and provide comments on Quality & Completeness, Technical Gaps & Clarifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field. • Five (5) years of hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise wide or large-scale IT solutions utilizing formal Life Cycle Management Methodologies. • Understanding of cloud computing (AWS), systems architecture, and IT security. • Ability to provide oversight and support for technical design gate reviews. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Strong customer relationship management skills. • Detail-oriented document review skills & Office skills. • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. • Previous Department of Education experience (preferred). • AWS Certification (preferred). • Familiarities and/or experiences with Cloud Architecture, Technology and Services (especially AWS) Security Architecture, Cloud Native Application Design & Architecture, Data Management and Analytics services in AWS, DevSecOps, API Design, Management & Microservices Architecture (preferred).
