Description

• Research and analysis of insurance statutes and regulations • Monitoring changes in regulatory laws and maintaining up-to-date knowledge • Providing business-oriented legal advice on regulatory matters • Simplifying complex issues and providing pragmatic advice • Collaborating with other Regulatory Attorneys for company regulatory strategy • Representing the company in regulatory investigations • Assisting with consumer complaints, inquiries, data calls, and examinations • Drafting, reviewing, advising, and negotiating legal documents

Requirements

• A law degree (JD) and licensed to practice in good standing • 10+ years experience advising clients in a law firm or in-house • 5+ years of experience in regulatory compliance or related field • Experience in Property and Casualty insurance and commercial insurance • Familiarity with reinsurance and excess/surplus lines • Experience with responding to Department of Insurance complaints • Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively across departments • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills • Excellent time management skills
