📋 Description

• The Structural Engineer (SE) for Above Group shall contribute and support the Engineering efforts for the Firm. • The SE shall possess a bachelor’s degree in Civil engineering, and a master’s degree with a structural emphasis or equivalent, from an ABET accredited institution. • The SE is also responsible for contributing to the growth of the team by leading and mentoring subordinate staff in expanding their capabilities and contributions. • The SE shall execute design duties as required to ensure quality is always maintained. • The SE shall be a Structural Engineer registered as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) and a licensed Structural Engineer (SE) passing the 16 hours NCEES exam, in the United States and/or its territories, at a minimum. • The SE is a Structural Engineer by education and experience, with the following characteristics: • Ability to combine personal judgment with information to establish and implement design criteria. • Has expertise conventional steel buildings, Concrete, Masonry, light gage, and wood. • Demonstrates proficiency of structural concepts including connection design, design loads, Lateral systems, different materials, and foundation design. • Able to use computer software including Staad, Tedds, Excel, and other applicable tools. • Ability to work well in a team environment as well as an individual. • Communicates effectively with individuals in the organization. • Capable of interpreting information set forth in a Basis of Design or a Facilities Requirements Document, as well as additional information gathered from users, other consultants, field surveys and code research. • Applies engineering principles to resolve engineering problems and tasks assigned. • Develops and implements design criteria and system designs from concept through detailed design and construction. • Collaborates with and mentors subordinate staff regarding their responsibilities on a daily basis. • Continuously seeks to improve and is self-teachable.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience (post degree) • Professional Engineering (PE) License and (SE) License • Current/Active NCEES registration in good standing • Operational Experience in both REVIT and AutoCAD • Excellent Communication skills, both oral and written
