Description

• The Business Analyst works with the business units to identify problems and system gaps in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information, and works with the development team designing solutions. • Manage requirements, including elicitation, user story creation, customer sign-off, and design documentation delivery. • Collaborates with Project Managers and business owners to create delivery plans for business requirements and implementations. Serves as the liaison between the product and the project team. • Presents technical solutions to the business units, lead client demos and presentations and facilitates JAD sessions. • Acts as the requirements subject matter expert, assists developers and QA analysts during the development phase. • Supports deployment activities, such as release notes, UAT, training and configuration. • Keeps abreast of new technology and market developments (including federal regulations).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Five or more years of experience as a business analyst in a software development environment. • Proficiency in writing SQL queries • Proven ability to gather clear business requirements, understand and create workflows, document detailed solutions. • Experience working with data integration projects; analyzing and understanding data and creating data mapping specifications. • Experience documenting APIs. • Experience testing software applications. • Knowledge of Agile Scrum processes. • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, or other collaboration tools. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically MS Project, Word, Excel and Outlook. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users; ability to convey business problems to ITS/development team
