Description

• Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers the flexibility to buy now and pay later without any hidden fees or compounding interest. • As an Accounting Lead you have in-depth knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strong motivation to drive processes that contribute to the achievement of an efficient monthly/quarterly/annual close and financial reporting processes. • You pay great attention to detail and the ability to deliver results under deadlines, as well as working effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment. • Above all, you have tremendous problem solving and communication skills that you are looking to utilize in support of Affirm’s continued growth and pursuit of our mission to deliver honest financial products that improve lives.

Requirements

• 4+ years of relevant professional experience is required (public accounting experience preferred) • Solid understanding of US GAAP, and ability to partner with the Technical Accounting team on accounting policy implementation and adherence • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required (such as VLOOKUPS & conditional statements, pivot tables, data analysis, what-if-analysis) • SQL experience or strong interest in developing SQL skills preferred • Excellent project management skills and ability to foster cross-functional collaboration to drive meaningful improvements to the close process • The desire to improve processes and make your own job easier over time, taking ownership of all aspects of your functional area • Passion for Affirm and a strong interest in technology, money movement, BNPL, and consumer lending
