• Do You Want a Entrepreneurial Environment Where You Can Grow? • Join ALC, a fast-growing, fully remote CFO Advisory, Outsourced Accounting, and HR Services firm. • We're Seeking: • Tech-savvy payroll enthusiasts eager to support entrepreneurial businesses. • Professionals valuing systematic approaches, coupled with creativity to find a solution that fits best. • Those craving diversity in tasks and a collaborative team environment. • Strong strategic thinker looking for an opportunity to contribute to a growing business. • Who We Are: • We are a passionate team serving privately held, entrepreneurial businesses across the U.S. • Core Values We Live By: • Speak Your Truth • Get Sh*t Done • Team Up • Be Curious • Choose Joy • As the Payroll Supervisor, you will oversee payroll operations for multiple clients across various industries. • You will work closely with finance and HR teams to provide an excellent payroll experience. • The Payroll Supervisor ensures ALC’s payroll processes meet regulatory requirements and align with our commitment to client-focused services. • Key Responsibilities: • Manage Payroll Operations: Oversee the full payroll cycle for multiple clients. • Establish Best Practices: Develop, implement, and continuously improve payroll processes and policies. • Compliance & Risk Management: Stay current on payroll-related laws and regulations. • Client Communication & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients. • Payroll Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and review client payroll reports. • Collaboration Across Teams: Work closely with the HR and accounting teams. • Continuous Improvement & Problem Solving: Evaluate and refine payroll processes. • Audit & Reconciliation: Conduct regular payroll audits. • The Successful Candidate will demonstrate: • Technical Payroll Skills: Mastery and ability to train others on payroll best practices. • Payroll Software Proficiency: Quick ability to learn and train others on payroll/HRIS software. • Critical Thinking & Analysis: Strong critical thinking skills. • Proactive Work Style & Communication: Highly organized with effective communication skills. • Client Service Orientation: Commitment to exceptional client service. • People/Team Development: Willingness to help and mentor others.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field • Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes • Experience with multi-state payroll and tax regulations, including California • Proficient in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks Payroll, etc.) • Excellent analytical skills, detail oriented with strong organizational skills • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing and a professional attitude • Must have either a Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or be a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
