Description

β€’ A Sales Engineer has the responsibility of initiating customer contact, hunting to create prospects, and converting prospects into sales opportunities. β€’ The Sales Engineer is also responsible for key account management and growing existing customers via building opportunities from within each established Account. β€’ A Sales Engineer will utilize the Alliance Proven Process to properly cultivate each Sales Project Opportunity. β€’ 30% of your day is spent identifying and helping current customers solve automation problems including learning technical details, documenting customer requirements, and maintaining customer relationships. β€’ 50% of your day is spent identifying and developing new leads and pursuing opportunities through cold calling, customer visits, and new business development. β€’ 20% of your day is spent working alongside inside resources in a team environment, tracking current projects, and providing feedback on quotes.

Requirements

β€’ Highest level of integrity, EQ, and sales acumen β€’ Possess a winning and creative approach to identifying customer solutions β€’ Be able to convey complex thought via verbal or written examples β€’ History of maintaining key accounts and prospecting success β€’ Proven ability to continually develop and contact prospective customers β€’ Some overnight travel will be required up to 35% β€’ 7 years of previous industrial sales experience β€’ Knowledge of industrial automation solutions β€’ A four-year degree in engineering or a technical discipline - preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred) β€’ Results-driven and ambitious β€’ Excellent organization, time-management, and communication skills β€’ Strong customer focus and the ability to work on your own initiative β€’ Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint β€’ CRM experience is a plus
