Description

• Lead on day-to-day internal financial management for the Alliance • Oversee daily financial operations and manage finance team • Direct grant and revenue management processes • Develop financial management systems and policies • Manage monthly financial reporting and audits • Work on annual budgeting process and budget forecasting • Oversee documentation and administration of grants and contracts • Manage fiscal sponsorship program administration • Lead on state charitable registrations and renewals • Guide professional development of finance team members

Requirements

• No formal education requirements; CPA not required • Knowledge gained through undergraduate education in finance, accounting, or related field • Certification or training in accounting practices or work experience in comparable roles • Working knowledge of GAAP, audits, and regulatory requirements in nonprofit financial field • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets • Experience with budget management and financial forecasting • Knowledge of nonprofit legal structures for financial management • Detail oriented and organized; capable of managing projects • Self-starter with initiative to streamline processes • Champion of organizational diversity & equity; commitment to social justice • Passion for and commitment to youth organizing and Alliance mission
