Description
• Represents insured and the Company in defense of bodily injury lawsuits • Prepares for and conducts hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions • Conducts depositions and examinations under oath and prepares summary documents • Prepares witnesses and clients for depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trials including expert witnesses • Keeps claim business partners updated on status of cases • Contacts clients to discuss their case and answer any questions • Reviews new file assignments and documentary evidence, approves initial pleadings and develops strategy • Investigates and pursues subrogation litigation as appropriate • Drafts post-trial motions • Tries and/or arbitrates cases by preparing motions and summary documents • Conducts settlement/dispositive proceedings such as mediations, arbitrations • Prepares and conducts court appearances
Requirements
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Required) • Juris Doctor (Required) • 5 or more years of experience (Preferred) • Must have State Bar Licensed to practice law in Texas
