• Who We Are: Alpaca is a US California headquartered brokerage infrastructure technology company and self-clearing broker-dealer. • Our Team Members: We’re a team of 150+ globally distributed members who love working from our favorite places worldwide. • Your Role: As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the systems and services that empower millions of users trading billions of dollars. • Things You Get To Do: You will play a pivotal role in architecting and developing web applications that push the boundaries of technology. • Who You Are (Must-Haves): 7+ years of software development experience and a strong background in distributed systems.
🎯 Requirements
• 7+ years of software development experience, with a strong background in designing and building distributed systems. • Experience designing end-to-end architectures that handle high-throughput, low-latency workloads. • Deep understanding of database and storage systems (SQL, NoSQL, data partitioning, indexing, caching, replication). • Experience with at least one modern programming language like React, GoLang, Python, etc. Preferably in Go and React • have previous software engineering experience with trading or exchange systems (OMS, EMS, exchanges, market making, algorithmic trading, quant trading) is a plus • Hands-on knowledge with Bash, Linux & Docker. Kubernetes experience is a plus • Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
