📋 Description
• American Oversight is seeking a Senior Counsel to manage a diverse caseload in open records litigation • Litigate FOIA requests, manage cases, and mentor junior attorneys • Develop litigation strategies and collaborate with cross-functional teams
🎯 Requirements
• Juris Doctor degree and admission to practice in at least one state (with eligibility to join District of Columbia bar) • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant legal experience, including 2+ years leading civil litigation in federal and/or state court • A keen interest in American Oversight’s mission of government accountability and transparency • Strong skills in litigation and case management, legal research, negotiation, and project management
