β’ Serve as the safety expert for assigned development product(s) β’ Establish the strategy, direction, and priorities of pharmacovigilance activities β’ Lead the Safety Analysis Team (SAT) and Global Safety Team (GST) β’ Prepare/review core and regional risk management plans including additional risk minimization measures β’ Prepare/review safety sections of periodic aggregate reports β’ Serve as safety expert on Evidence Generation Team for assigned products β’ Communicate and articulate Safetyβs position clearly and effectively in cross-functional meetings and written documents β’ Travel: Domestic and International travel up to 10% may be essential
β’ MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school AND Completion of an accredited medical or surgical residency OR Clinical experience in either an accredited academic setting or private practice (including hospital based) setting β’ Obesity and related conditions experience. β’ 2 years of industry pharmacovigilance (PV) experience β’ Product safety in the bio/pharmaceutical industry or regulatory agency β’ Previous management and/or mentoring experience β’ Board certification or equivalent training
