• Position Overview: • As the Accounting Manager at App Academy, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the core accounting functions, driving cross-functional projects, and leading the implementation of accounting process improvements. • The ideal candidate will bring a blend of expertise from both Big Four accounting firms and start-up environments, leveraging their deep knowledge to enhance our financial operations and contribute to our mission-driven initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience with a Big Four accounting firm and start-up environments. • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards. • Proven experience in leading accounting teams and managing cross-functional projects. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments and external partners. • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices. • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and evolving work environment. • Passion for education technology and the company's mission to impact lives positively.
