Description

• The Pricing Analyst will assist sales in quoting new and existing business • Create quotes to present to customers • Request pricing from various vendors (steamship lines, truckers, warehouses, agents, etc) • Review margin analysis for sales account base • Provide continual follow up with new and existing clients regarding margin review and account profitability • Review of the buy and sell rates through provided tools to provide updates to management • Provide accurate and timely pricing quotes to sales, operations and direct to customers • Continual evaluation of industry trends and government regulations • Assist management in negotiating and finalizing deals • Handle Customer complaints • Assist with rate negotiation and familiarity of client products and services • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience • 1-3 years of ocean freight experience required • 1-3 years of customer service experience required • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook and Excel preferred • Basic geography knowledge preferred • Detailed organizational skills • Solid communication skills – both verbal and written • Must be able to think and react quickly with a sense of urgency • Must be able to remain calm during adverse conditions • Must be able to type a minimum of 30 w.p.m.
