Unicorn Role Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical accounting assistant to join our real estate team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in financial modeling, an in-depth understanding of Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, and experience with financial analysis tools and methods. As a Financial Business Analyst, you will play a key role in creating financial models, analyzing data to support critical business decisions, and providing insights that enhance financial performance. This is a dynamic opportunity to work with a growing team in the real estate sector. What You’ll Do: • Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models using Google Spreadsheets and Excel to support strategic decision-making processes. • P&L Analysis: Analyze and interpret Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, offering insights into the company’s current financial health. • Economic Assessments: Apply basic economic principles to assess the immediate and long-term economic impacts of business strategies. • Data Analysis & Reporting: Use financial data to craft narratives that illustrate current performance and potential future scenarios. • Presentation of Findings: Present financial findings to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner. • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work across departments to ensure financial data accuracy and alignment with business objectives and forecasts. • Financial Insights & Recommendations: Provide insights that help drive financial performance, identifying growth opportunities and offering recommendations to support partnerships and business development efforts. • Monitor Financial Metrics: Track key financial metrics, including operating costs and profitability, ensuring alignment with business goals. Proficiency in Google Spreadsheets and Excel for building and maintaining financial models. Basic understanding of economic principles to assess the impacts of business strategies. Experience with analyzing Profit and Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions that support decision-making. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to "tell and sell" a financial story to guide internal teams, stakeholders, and clients. High level of accuracy and thoroughness in managing multiple financial projects simultaneously. Proven ability to present complex financial data in a clear and engaging way to stakeholders and clients. Familiarity with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. Experience attributing financial insights to client relationships and potential partnerships. Prior experience in presenting financial information to senior management or external clients.
