Description

• Responsible for managing a team of accountants focused on domestic auto results. • Lead and develop a team of accountants with a focus on monthly/quarterly results. • Identify and support implementation of continuous improvement opportunities. • Evaluate the accounting impact of changes in risk structures and products. • Develop a monthly analytical review process for error identification. • Partner with various departments to understand and document client results. • Perform analysis on high-risk areas such as DAC and fee income. • Develop reports providing a comprehensive view of client results. • Understand moderately complex warranty accounting. • Provide documentation for knowledge transfer to accounting teams.

Requirements

• College degree in accounting, plus CPA, chartered accountant or equivalent designation required: CPA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting/Finance leadership role • Property and Casualty Insurance experience • Effectively managing teams remotely • Strong technical acumen; US GAAP knowledge including knowledge of insurance accounting principles and revenue recognition standard. • Proven experience in improving processes and controls. • Solid understanding and experience with internal control frameworks • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements. • Ability to manage numerous projects/deadlines and prioritize workload accordingly. • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and overcome challenges. • Strong Microsoft Office skills • Experience leading teams and assessing and developing talent.
